2024 Professional Development Workshops


The NZIDE Committee 2024-2025 has decided to hold fortnightly professional development workshops to support our members. These workshops will include but not limited to - NZIDE Updates, Street Talk, Driving Assessments, Disabilities, Students with Difficulties, VTNZ Updates including with a testing officer, NZTA Updates and much more.

Learning Difficulties including ADHD & Autism - Some Top Tips for day to day in car solutions.


Join us for some 'Tops Tips' on how to manage day to day stuff in the car.

Identifying 'what is actually going on' including but not limited to:


Challanging behavior

Fidgeting

Lack of focus/ daydreaming/distraction

Lack of coordination

Stimming/ masking

Effects of Medication


Followed by open forum

    Driving Instructor at Driving101

    Liz has been a member of NZIDE since 1980. She has been elected Central Representative several times and currently serves in the role. Liz is a proud member of the Institute of Advanced Motoring (IAM). She holds an Advanced Driving Certificate (L2) from the National Advanced Driving School and is an NZTA Approved Driving Instructor. Liz works with Kapiti and Horowhenua Youth Services. She also works with seniors and shared clients for medical assessments or for Waka Kotahi NZ Transport Agency and ACC. When Liz has free time she enjoys gardening, family and friends. She loves travelling, the Hurricanes and the All Blacks. (Don’t bother trying to book a lesson when there’s a game on haha)
